This is something I started waaaay back in May, and after getting the flats and fire and that snazzy galaxy ball done, I lost all inspiration to finish it because I was so daunted by shading and background. But, here now a few months later, after regaining some spark to look into this again and about 5 more hours of work, it is completed and I am very, very proud of how this turned out. And it will be a long while before I pull something like this off again lolol

Later down the road in Orion's story, he ends up dying by the hands of a Tselel demon, in which Pierce desperately revives him into a demon himself. Orion takes on the animal counterpart of a vampire bat, gaining a new ability while also retaining his Rainbow Fire magic. This piece is meant to be symbolic to his transition into living life as a demon, "forever one with the night" being a metaphor that he will live on as a creature of darkness.
